The Foreign & Commonwealth Office Chevening Scholarship Scheme
The British Government’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office offers, via the British Council, a scholarship scheme for international students. The Chevening Scholarships are currently available to students from 160 countries around the world.
There are three types of scholarships:
- Type A covers Tuition Fees only
- Type B covers Tuition Fees, various one-off allowances and provides a monthly stipend.
- Type C is a scholarship with variable conditions, but generally provides full or part stipends and/or allowances.
Students need to apply via their home country’s British Embassy, British High Commission or British Council Office.
