Part-Time Work
One method of supplementing your income is to take a part-time or temporary job while studying. There may be some limited employment opportunities on campus or with departments. Further information about these can be obtained from our Careers and Employability Centre and Student Union Employment Exchange.
The local press will carry details of off-campus vacancies. There is a potential, however, for employment to interfere with studying. Depending, therefore, upon the amount of time you think that you will need to commit to a job, a better option may be to study part-time. Many of the University’s postgraduate programmes offer a part-time model.
