Your University Library offers a number of services to help you get the most out of studying and research at Loughborough.
General Library Services
- Study spaces – The Library provides different spaces for various learning and study activities.
- Borrowing – For information on what you can borrow, loan renewals and fines.
- IT facilities – The University Library provides a range of IT facilities for users.
- AV and Photocopying – The University Library provides a range of media equipment for its users.
- Enquiry services – For details of who to contact for help when using the Library or finding the information you need.

- Professional online search service – Searches of specialised databases, not available via MetaLib performed on behalf of academic staff or researchers by Library staff.
- Inter-Library Loan – Materials not available in your Library can often be borrowed from other Libraries as a charged service.
- Archives – The University Archives are housed on Level 1 of the Pilkington Library. The collection includes written, photographic and other material relating to the University and its predecessor colleges.
- David Lewis Collection – This is the University Library's Special Collections. It contains around 3000 books and journals on subjects such as history of sports, engineering and architecture.
- European Documentation Centre (EDC) – The University Library is a designated European Documentation Centre. The collection contains extensive publications and documents of the European Union.
- Access to other libraries – Loughborough is a member of a number of different schemes which gives its students and staff access to other libraries.
