Analytical and Pharmaceutical Science
MSc 1 year full-time, 2-5 years part-time
Developed in response to the Engineering and Physics Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), and after extensive consultation with industry, this programme is designed for graduates in chemistry or closely related disciplines who wish to contribute to drug development, a process that requires multidisciplinary skills.

Entry Qualifications
An honours degree in chemistry, biochemistry or a closely related subject. Other qualifications may be considered if the candidate has relevant industrial experience. Participation in individual modules is possible by arrangement.
These are in addition to the General Entrance Requirements.
Careers and Further Study
Careers in a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, environmental management, national laboratories, regulatory authorities and instrument manufacturers in either technical or marketing functions; also in the areas of patents and product registration; or preliminary study for a PhD.
