Loughborough University’s medal haul continues in Melbourne
What a fantastic Commonwealth Games Melbourne is turning out to be, not only for the home nations but also for Loughborough University.
| With students, graduates, and athletes training full time at the University, spread across the home nations teams, Loughborough’s total medal haul, particularly from the pool, is mounting to the levels enjoyed in Manchester in 2002. At this Games Loughborough’s athletes generated 18 medals for the home nations, including seven Golds. |

Already in Melbourne 2006 the University’s students, graduates and athletes have made an impact, winning medals of all types in the pool and in the Rugby Sevens, setting records and producing world-class performances. The Loughborough medal count is now up to 16 in Melbourne.
